 राकेश झुनझुनवाला यांचे १४ ऑगष्ट २०२२ रोजी वयाच्या ६२ व्या वर्षी दुःखद निधन झाले.   शेअर मार्केट मधील एक नावाजलेलं नाव आहे. राकेश झुनझुनवाला यांना भारताचे वॉरेन बफेट म्हटले जायचे. राकेश झुनझुनवाला हे स्वतः चार्टड अकाउंटंट होते. १९८५ मध्ये वयाच्या पंचविशी पासून शेअर मार्केट मध्ये ५००० रुपयांपासून गुंतवणुकीला सुरुवात केली आणि वयाच्या ६२ व्य वर्षीपर्यंत त्यांनी शेअर मार्केट मधून तब्बल ४७००० कोटीं पेक्षा जास्त संपत्ती जमवली होती. फोर्ब्स च्या सर्वे नुसार राकेश झुनझुनवाला हे भारतातील ३६ व्या क्रमांकाचे श्रीमंत व्यक्ती होते. 
१९८६ साली राकेश झुनझुनवाला यांनी टाटा टी कंपनीचे ५००० शेअर्स ४३ रुपयांना विकत घेतले, आणि ३ महिन्यात त्या शेअर्स ची किंमत १४३ रुपये झाली. ३ महिन्यात त्यांना तिप्पट नफा झाला.
राकेश झुनझुनवाला राकेश झुनझुनवाला यांना मधुमेह आणि क्रोनिक किडनी डिसीज होता आणि नुकतीच त्यांची अँजिओप्लास्टी देखील झाली होती.
